Right now I am reading Our Forgotten Pollinators. It was published in 1997. Its a very interesting read. I thought it would be a good reference for
understanding the loss of our bats, moths and butterflies in addition to bees.

Finished the Fence! YEA!

We strung about 300 ft of fence yesterday. It was very tedious work. Now all we have to do is get rid of our surplus of roosters. Those beasts are obnoxious. And finally, avoid reading the idiocy that passes for journalism these days, so that I will not develop a migraine from all the stupidity being transmitted into the airwaves and over the internet.

Confucious Say, "Boot to the Head!" you know that shit that ought to be on a tacky tee shirt somewhere or on a bumper sticker. Its cute. I used to have a button back in the 80's "Survey Says, Go Fuck Yourself." A lovely sentiment. Wise? Well I suppose that would depend on who you were saying it to and the context of that conversation. That will help to some degree with the idiot-neighbor-dog problem. Thats the problem with living in a rural area. Some dingaling moves out here and thinks, "We done moved out to da cuntry and we dont gots to tie our dawgs up."
Uh whatever. These dogs have menaced me several times on my own property. We don't normally fence our birds, because where we live, there is a leash law. I know that may be hard to believe for ma and pa kettle but there it is.

I really despise it when people who keep mean dogs, and then turn them loose. They are a disaster waiting to happen. It's irresponsible, and the worst part is that such animals often hurt other people's pets, wildlife and people even. Sometimes they maul children.

I do like to unwind a bit and vegetate. But I also have standards. I ended up watching part of the Banger Sisters. That movie cracks me up. Especially when those two are down in the basement looking through old polaroids of penii---that belonged to rock stars-[and a few roadies] HA! In some ways I hate the internet. I just saw this story on CBS News. Basically it's a rant by a reporter who would like to see America create an Autobahn System in the U.S. like the ones in Europe. And he is going on and on about people driving slow in the left lane, or at least slower than he would like.
